New moon resting sessions

A 2 hour monthly session at each new moon to help you create the conditions for rest

We think that prioritising rest is indulgent or extreme, but what’s actually extreme is the extent to which we’ve been conditioned into how little rest we need.

why is it so hard to rest?

So many of us struggle to deeply relax and rest. Our nervous systems are in a continuous state of stress and so when we try to rest it feels unfamiliar, uncomfortable and unsafe.

In a world that requires consistent productivity and busyness we have lost touch with our natural ability to rest.

WE HAVE LOST CONNECTION TO THE cycles of NATURE THAT GUIDE OUR OWN HUMAN NATURE AND HOW WE ARE MEANT TO LIVE.

The new moon of each lunar cycle guides us towards a natural state of rest, so now is the best time for us to cultivate our relationship with rest.

This resting session is for you if:

  • You find it difficult to sit still and meditate.

  • You feel guilty for resting and not being productive.

  • You have a sense of urgency and often feel on edge.

  • Your days have no ‘gaps’. You hop from one thing to the next. There is no breathing space.

  • You feel overwhelmed with communication from your email, messages, social media…..

  • You swing between being busy, busy, busy and burnt out.

  • You keep busy to avoid sitting still with yourself.

  • You find it hard to unwind and switch off at night.

Here’s what we’ll be doing:

  • Exploring the states within our nervous system and understanding why we find it hard to rest.

  • ‘Coming down gently’ - Creating a movement practice to release stress from the body.

  • Somatic practices to regulate the nervous system and create a baseline of rest in the body.

  • Guided meditation and breath practices to allow you to experience deep rest.

  • Music, poetry and cosy vibes to allow us to connect to the stillness of the new moon.
